Podcast vs. Episode Sources
Podcast sources apply to every episode in a series. Episode sources are specific to a single episode.
Podcast Sources#
Podcast sources are attached to the series itself and carry across every episode you create. They're best for evergreen reference material: brand guidelines, company overviews, host bios, or anything you want every episode to reference. You can add up to 3 sources per podcast, managed during podcast setup or from Edit Podcast.
In the Content Agent chat, podcast sources display with a Podcast Source label so you can distinguish them from episode sources.
Episode Sources#
Episode sources are the unique material for one specific episode, added directly in the Content Agent chat. Use these for the article or report that inspired this week's episode, a guest interview recording, or topic-specific notes. There is no fixed limit on episode sources.
Mix both source types for the best results. Use podcast sources for your brand voice and background, then add episode sources for the specific topic you're covering.
Frequently Asked Questions#
How many sources can I add to a podcast vs. an episode?
Podcasts are limited to 3 sources, which apply to all episodes. Episode sources have no fixed limit and are specific to a single episode.
Do podcast sources automatically apply to every new episode?
Yes. Podcast sources provide context that carries across every episode you create in that series. You do not need to re-add them for each episode.
