Episode Statuses
Understand what each status badge means for your episode's lifecycle.
Status Badges#
Every episode displays a colored status badge that indicates where it is in the publishing workflow. Hover over any badge to see additional details like the creation date, publish date, or scheduled time.
Draft (Gray)#
The episode is in progress and not yet published. This is the default status for all new and duplicated episodes. Draft episodes are only visible to you and your team in the studio.
Hovering over the badge shows the date the episode was created.
Scheduled#
The episode has been scheduled for future publication. It will be automatically published at the scheduled date and time.
Hovering over the badge shows the scheduled publish date.
You can cancel a scheduled publication by opening the episode's three-dot menu and selecting Cancel Schedule. This reverts the episode to Draft status.
Publishing#
The episode is currently being processed for publication. This status appears while Jellypod renders and prepares your episode's audio, video, and RSS feed entry.
This is a temporary state. Once processing completes, the status automatically changes to Published.
Published#
The episode is live and available to listeners. It appears in your RSS feed, podcast website, and any connected directories (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube).
Hovering over the badge shows the date the episode was published.
You can unpublish a published episode by opening the episode's three-dot menu and selecting Unpublish Episode. This reverts the episode to Draft status while keeping all content intact.
Status Transitions#
- Draft → Publishing: Publish or schedule an episode
- Draft → Scheduled: Schedule a future publish date
- Publishing → Published: Automatic (processing completes)
- Scheduled → Draft: Cancel the schedule
- Published → Draft: Unpublish the episode
Frequently Asked Questions#
Can I unpublish an episode after it has gone live?
Yes. Open the episode's three-dot menu and select Unpublish Episode. This reverts the episode to Draft status while keeping all content intact. It will be removed from your RSS feed and podcast website.
How long does the Publishing state last?
The Publishing state is temporary and typically lasts a few seconds to a couple of minutes while Jellypod renders and prepares your episode. It automatically transitions to Published when processing completes.
